Wyndham Lewis (November 18, 1882 - March 7, 1957) was a British painter and author. He was the co-founder of the Vorticist movement in art, and edited a Vorticists' journal, BLAST (two numbers, 1914-15). His novels include his pre-Globe War We-era novel Tarr (placed inside Paris),& A Man Age, the trilogy comprising A Childermass (1928), Monstre Gai & Malign Fiesta (two 1955), placed in the afterworld.
